Oh this book is delightful.
It has an adoption theme where two dissimilar characters need each other. Dragon adopts a little penguin egg and she needed that egg in order to fulfill her purpose and grow into her own.
The little egg turns into a penguin. And due to the care and nurturing from her dragon mommy, she withstands teasing from other dragon kids and learns that she is special just how she is. And she saves the day in the end.
I won’t give away the ending but it is so heartwarming it brings me to tears. And my boys love it because it’s about dragons and also touches the heart.
