The other day, I legit chased my toddler around my street with no pants. ZERO pants. He was running all over the street and I didn’t have time to think about whether or not neighbors could see my saggy white rear end peeking out from underneath my shirt. I had a toddler to catch. If you happened to look out of your window and you live on my street… you’re welcome.
I’m not organized or dedicated enough to do daily Thanksgiving posts, but here’s a random one: I’m truly madly and deeply thankful that my 3 year old will entertain himself in his room for 15 minutes after I put the one year old to bed so I can eat some food in peace and type this thanksgiving message on facebook. And I’m thankful to my husband for bringing home said food from Chipotle. Because cooking today = definitely no with a chance of not tonight.
Thanks, older boys for convincing my son that the Chick-Fil-A playground is haunted. An existential conversation was not on my list of fun things to do today.
Three years ago today, We were four hours away from going to the hospital to meet our first born. After a rather dramatic birth, this little guy leaped into our world. He oozes confidence and joy and he is changing the world. Happy third birthday J-man!
Me: Josh, I’ve got some raspberries here for you.
Him: No, I don’t want raspberries.
Me: What are you talking about Willis? Raspberries are your favorite.
Him: No mom, I no want raspberries today.
Me: No problem. Sammy gets all the raspberries.
Him: Mommy, I want raspberries.
Thank you for stepping up time and again for our family. You are right next to me giving your all in raising our boys. There is no one else I would rather be dead-tired with at the end of a day.
