The other day, I legit chased my toddler around my street with no pants. ZERO pants. He was running all over the street and I didn’t have time to think about whether or not neighbors could see my saggy white rear end peeking out from underneath my shirt. I had a toddler to catch. If you happened to look out of your window and you live on my street… you’re welcome.
This weekend, we went to see the D-Backs play and we parked in the Civic Center parking garage.
Dave: “Oh, I recognize this garage. Boys, your mom and I would park here often as we met up for dates.”
Me: “Yeah, we would go to fun restaurants and talk about stuff.”
Dave: “We would talk, or not talk for hours.”
Me: “Or we’d stare at each other and bask in each other’s hotness.”
Dave: “…Which brings us to how you got here.”

Three of us sick and it’s a day where we’re all just trying to make it through the day. When I took the boys to Saddle Creek and told the staff “Hey guys- we made it to lunch!” They started cheering for me! 😂😂 Yep. I needed a cheering section today.
There are toys strewn everywhere in this picture, but what you don’t see is the homemade blueberry pancakes for breakfast and play dough squished together all over the floor. And every bit is worth it because there is contented silence with two little boys on this lovely, cool, Arizona morning. Have a delightful and messy Thursday, friends!
When we go to spring training, this is what happens: Josh finds a group of boys 3x his age and charms them into pitching him the ball until their arms fall off. These sweet boys played for hours. Ain’t got time to watch when you want to play SO BAD
The other day, I was bandaging Josh’s scraped knee.
Him: “Mommy, I sorry I hurt I-self.”
*my heart breaks*
Me: “It’s OK, sweet boy. I still hurt myself. These bodies we have… they’re only temporary.”
Him: “Mommy, you know when our icemaker broke and someone came out and fixed it?”
*Very pregnant pause*
Me: “I know there’s a correlation here somewhere… just give me a sec. Mommy’s tired.”
